Prof. Gail S. Goodman, Distinguished Professor of psychology and Director of Center for Public Policy Research is a professor at University of California Davis. She is widely acknowledged as the pioneer of modern research of eyewitness memory in children and utilizing child victims to be legal witnesses. Professor Goodman is an prolific writer who has received many awards and grants. She has worked with a variety of governments and organizations around the globe on studies and policy issues pertaining to children who are victimized by the justice system. She serves as consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of numerous professional associations, including the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is also a member of Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding member) International Society for the prevention of child abuse and Neglect and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman has served as president of The American Psychological Association's Developmental Division and three Divisions of the Child and Family Practice and Policy Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
