Following her appearance as a Guest Star in several TV Shows and films, such as Seinfeld and NYPD Blue in the 90's She was then chosen to play Jean Ward as part of The Practice. Martha Bullock played two full seasons of Deadwood, which was filmed in the mid 2000's. Skyler was her role on Breaking Bad. Sully, the Deadwood film and other films included her. Gunn has also appeared on the stage to play in the David Schwimmer-directed production of Sex With Strangers. Gunn also played a part in the show Numbered Day, which is a podcast consisting of four audio plays. Breaking Bad often revolves around Walter White and Skyler's relationship. Its strain and ultimate end reflect the final seasons in the story of Walter White.
